At least 45,000 people in the German city of Koblenz have been ordered to leave their homes for a day after an unexploded bomb was found in the Rhine river.

The World War II bomb weighs almost two tonnes and was dropped by a British aircraft in 1944.

Experts said they will attempt to defuse it on Sunday.

Al Jazeera's Stuart Silvers reports.
