Two members of a group opposed to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad have been shot dead by soldiers at a checkpoint in Lebanon.
The killings set off protests in Beirut and the northern Akkar region.
Sheikh Ahmed Abdul Wahid, a Sunni Muslim cleric, and Muhammed Hussein Miraib, his bodyguard, were both members of the March 14 alliance.
