Diwali Nivas is situated in Leicester City, close to the Narborough Road. It has easy access to local shops, a post office and the Jalaram Mandir temple is in walking distance. The house has been converted from a private dwelling to become a registered care home. The care home has been established to meet the needs of elderly people from the Asian community.
The service is registered to provide care to a maximum of 16 people. The service can provide care to elderly people, people with dementia, and people with mental health conditions. There are Gujarati speaking staff available 24 hours a day, and the home caters for vegetarian diets only. The facilities include 12 bedrooms, consisting of eight single rooms and four double rooms. Eight bedrooms have en-suite toilet facilities. There are two walk-in shower rooms and a bathroom. Bedrooms are located on the ground and first floor. Access to the first floor is by means of a passenger lift or the staircase. There are two communal lounge/dining rooms, and a landscaped garden with patio area.
