Me playing the organ at All Hallows Church in Greenford, London.
The organ here has an interesting history. It was originally built in the mid 1920s by the John Compton Organ Company Ltd for the Hippodrome in Woolwich, London. The Compton archives describe it as being a 2 manual 5 rank 'Kinestra' model. Following the closure of the Hippodrome, the organ was removed by Kingsgate Davidson and much of the pipework used here although there is now very little evidence of it ever being part of a cinema organ. The pipework is fully enclosed in a sunken apse behind the high altar with the swell shutters being located on the top. The specification reads:
