Students at Bi-Cultural day School are bringing Dr. Seuss to the stage.
"I'm playing Gertude McFuzz," said Simone Nachman, an eighth-grader at Bi-Cultural Day.
"I've always loved the Cat in the Hat," said Jensen Greif, a seventh-grader at Bi-Cultural Day.
"It's seeing all of the stories that we've read all of these years by Dr. Seuss come alive on stage. The characters are great, they're so lovable, and fun, and the music is just fabulous," said Janice Steinberg, Director of the play.
"It's just a very animated musical, so I find this one to be very lively and fun and a great experience to be in," said Nachman.
The cast of students in fifth through eighth grade performed for the community at Barnes and Noble in Stamford, and raised money for their production
"We sang one of our great songs from our show, and we read a book, a classic, Horton Hears a Who, from Dr. Seuss," said Greif.
The show will take place May 7, 9 and 12 at Bi-Culural Day School, 2186 High Ridge Rd. in Stamford.
