The Stories Behind the Tweets, hosted by William Parra, seeks to open a window to the world, to get to the bottom of stories larger than 140 characters. In today's program: 1) Jacinta Francisco Marcial lives in the indigenous community of Santiago Mexquititlan, Mexico. In 2006 she was falsely accused of kidnapping police agents and following a trial plagued by gross irregularities, sentenced to 21 years in prison. Three years later authorities admitted she was innocent and Jacinta was set free. Her case is not an aberration, as the judicial system is stacked against women, the poor, and members of indigenous communities; 2) Gervasio Sanchez, Spanish photojournalist, who has chronicled the human side and consequences of wars, revolutions, and armed conflicts with his camera; 3) Cuban baseball fan Ricardo Lima practiced the sport since he was a child and wanted to play professionally. Life, however, threw him a different hardball, but his grandson Linder is poised to pick up where his own dream left off. teleSUR
