Who's the most popular 
To post here yet?

What adoration
Can I attract,  
From mediocrity's
Vacuous track?

What viral of strangers
Can I befriend,
And Like, Unlike
Their everything?

What random strings
Of things and stuff,
Can feign an obligatory
L.O.L. response?

Is a hungover rant 
And disconnect,
A way to engender
Long sought respect?

Close range I.pic of face
taken with I.thing at haste,
Uploaded with 
no time to waste.

Rewards are simple.

Connection to friends
Far, far away,
The isolated and lonely
Are family today.

The world it shrinks
By enmeshed perception 
inundated by mundane,
Inane introspection. 

We write and text
Sitting silently alone,
But never think to
Pick up the phone!
