The trial of former Argentine president Carlos Menem and 12 other high level officials for conspiracy and obstructing the investigation into the fatal 1994 bombing of the Argentine Jewish Community Center is now underway. The 84-year old Menem, now a senator, was not present on the first day of the trial due to health reasons.
