Njerëz te njohur te botes akademike dhe shoqërisë civile duket se e kane pare Frymën e re demokratike si një mundësi për te realizuar ndryshimin ne Shqipëri. Me eksperience te pasur ne fushën e sociologjisë, por edhe me një bagazh politik 20 vjeçar, Edmond Dragoti deklaron se premtimi për vendosjen e një drejtësie sociale, e ka tërhequr drejt FRD. Ndërkohë qe studiuesja e shkencave politike Mirela Bogdani vlerëson se krijimi i FRD-se do te përfaqësoje interesat e një elektorati qe ose është zhgënjyer ose nuk ndjehet i përfaqësuar nga partitë tradicionale. Ndërkaq pas ditës se zhurmshme te zyrtarizimit te partisë, selia e Frymës se re demokratike ka rene ne qetësi. Lëvizjet kane qene te pakta dhe ne zyre kane qëndruar vetëm Aleksander Biberaj si dhe stafi, qe merret me anëtarësimet e reja ne parti, qe deri me tani kane arritur shifrën 500.
