Takimi i nje dite me pare mes krerëve te qeverive ne Prishtine dhe Beograd ka patur shume jehone e kjo pasi mediat respektive te te dy vendeve kane publikuar nje pjese te diskutimeve, te mundësuar fale ndërhyrjes se shefes se diplomacisë ne BE, Catherine Ashton. Takimi ka nisur dhe ka përfunduar, sikurse raportojne mediat, te cilat nuk u lejuan te jene prezente ne kete takim historik, pa shtrëngim te duarve mes dy homologeve. Madje edhe diskutimi mes tyre ka qene ironik. Gjate fjales se tij, kryeministri i Serbisë ka deklaruar hapur qëndrimin e Beogradit zyrtar, se Kosova eshte pjese e sa e Kosoves aq edhe e Serbise, sepse edhe vete Dacic vendlindjen e ka ne Kosove. Por kjo deklarate ka shkaktuar nervozitet tek kryeministri kosovar Hashim Thaçi, i cili i është kundërpërgjigjur homologut te tij se nese e do kaq shume Kosovës, atehere duhet te marre nenshtetesine kosovare. "Une kam takuar njeriun, i cili në një raport të Këshillit të Evropës, dyshohet se ka tregtuar organet e serbëve në Kosovë. Nuk po ndalem ketu. Beogradi eshte i gatshëm per te diskutuar me Prishtinën çdo çështje qe ajo deshiron, perveçse veriun e Kosovës, institucionet paralele. Serbia ne Kosove ka shume prona dhe trashëgimi kulturore". Duke u ndalur tek vazhdimi i dialogut mes dy shtete, i shume kerkuar gjate takimit edhe nga Baronesha Ashton, kryeministri serb Dacic deklaroi se ai takimi i radhes me Thaçin do te mbahet ne nentor. Takimi i pare mes dy liderëve serb dhe kosovar ne Bruksel eshte përshëndetur nga faktori ndërkombëtar. Zyrtari i larte i Washingtonit, zv.ndihmes sekretari amerikan i shtetit, Filip Reker e vleresoi perpjekjen e te dy shteteve per te nisur dialogun politik. Edhe presidentja e Kosoves Jahjaga e pershkoi kete takim si nje hap perpara drejt normalizimit te marrëdhënieve dypalëshe.
