Ingredients:
For Sugar Syrup
1/2 Kg Sugar
1/2 Cup Water
1/2 tsp Cardamom Powder
Saffron Strands
Yellow Food Color
For Jalebi
1 Cup All Purpose Flour
3 tbsp Gram Flour
3 tbsp Curd
2 tbsp Hot Ghee
Water
Yellow Food Color
Method:
- To make sugar syrup in a flat sauce pan add sugar & water.
- Then add saffron strands, cardamom powder & yellow food color.
- Let everything come to a boil.
- Once the sugar melts and the liquid reaches one thread consistency switch off the flame. Sugar Syrup is ready.
- In another flat sauce pan heat some ghee for frying the Jalebi.
- To make the Jalebis, in a large bowl add all purpose flour, gram flour, curd, hot ghee & water. Make a smooth pouring consistency batter.
- Add yellow food color and mix well.
- Pour the batter in a sauce bottle and start making the Jalebi.
- Fry the Jalebis on both sides.
- Directly put the Jalebis in sugar syrup.
- Jalebis are ready to serve!
