Members of Cardinia Shire Council’s Natural Reserves team were happy to discover they’d captured footage of a male superb lyrebird singing and dancing with one of their strategically placed cameras on a bushland reserve in Victoria.
The footage was captured by a motion sensor camera which the team had placed in order to monitor animals for conservation purposes. The spritely bird can be seen singing, dancing, and mimicking other birdcalls, all while building himself a dirt platform to perform on. Credit: Cardinia Shire Council via Storyful
