Last weekend the AU review had the pleasure of interviewing American synth-pop band, Future Islands at St Jerome’s Laneway Festival 2015 in Singapore.
In part two of our interview with Baltimore native band, Future Islands, who we caught on the Singapore leg of the St Jerome’s Laneway Festival, we talk about the band’s writing influences, including their most recent 2014 album, Singles and the band reveals how they’ve managed to defy musical expectations. Next they divulge the people, activities and bad habits that make them happiest and frontman Samuel Herring exposes the possibility of his joining a death metal band.
You can catch the band on the remainder of the Laneway festival which is still traveling across Australia now.
Part Two of Two.
Filmed during Laneway Festival, Singapore. Captured by Larry Heath, the AU review - 24th January 2015.
