This past weekend the AU review had the opportunity to sit in a media conference with UK's, Jon Hopkins, at Laneway Festival in Singapore.
He talks about his definition of 'indie' music as being more "independently spirited music" and "music that's a little more messier and free".
He discusses musicians he would like to collaborate with in the future such as Thom Yorke or Sigur Ros as well as who he would like to rework his material such as Flying Lotus.
Jon talks his musical process, discussing that it is something that guides him rather than coming in with an intention whilst making music.
Captured by Larry Heath, the AU review - 24th January 2015.
