There have been talks about India playing Australia in a five-match Test series later this year as against the tradition of four matches. But BCCI treasurer Arun Dhumal said no definitive plans have been put in place so far and a decision can be arrived at only in the post Coronavirus days. He also said the BCCI is not thinking of staging IPL 2020 at this stage. Dhumal said the BCCI is not in a position to think of IPL 2020 as the world still grapples with the deadly Coronavirus.

बीसीसीआई को अभी भी आईपीएल के आयोजन की एक उम्‍मीद नजर आ रही है. अगर टी20 वर्ल्‍ड कप कप आगे टल जाता है तो बीसीसीआई को आईपीएल के लिए एक विंडो मिल जाएगा. ऑस्‍ट्रेलिया में इस महामारी के मामले अब कम होते नजर आ रहे हैं, मगर इसके बावजूद सबसे बड़ा सवाल यह है कि क्‍या देश निर्धारित समय पर टी20 वर्ल्‍ड कप का आयोजन कर पाएगा. ऑस्ट्रेलिया ने 6 महीनों के लिए अपनी सीमाओं को बंद कर रखा है. यहां तक कि क्रिकेट ऑस्‍ट्रेलिया संयुक्‍त रूप से आईसीसी के साथ विकल्‍प की तलाश कर रहा है. कुछ समय पहले ऐसी की खबरें आ रही थी कि वर्ल्‍ड कप का आयोजन खाली स्‍टेडियम में करवाया जा सकता है.
