Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways and MSMEs Nitin Gadkari has said that the Government has finalised GPS-based(Global Positioning System) technology toll collection to ensure seamless movement of vehicles across the country. He said, this will ensure India becomes ‘toll booth free’ in the next two years.

రాబోయే రోజుల్లో హైవేలపై టోల్ బూతులు కనిపించవని కేంద్ర ఉపరితల రవాణా మంత్రి నితిన్ గడ్కరీ ప్రకటించారు. టోల్ బూత్ లెస్ హైవేస్ కోసం కేంద్రం ఇప్పటికే ప్రణాళిక సిద్ధం చేసినట్లు ఆయన చెప్పారు. అంతేకాదు రెండేళ్లలోనే ఈ లక్ష్యాన్ని చేరుకుంటామని ఆయన అన్నారు. అదే టైంలో టోల్ ఫీజు వసూలు కోసం మోడ్రన్ టెక్నాలజీని ఆశ్రయించబోతున్నట్లు తెలిపారు.గురువారం 'అస్సోచమ్ ఫౌండేషన్ వీక్' ప్రోగ్రాంలో గడ్కరీ మాట్లాడుతూ.. టోల్ ఫీజు ఏర్పాట్ల కోసం జీపీఎస్ ఆధారిత విధానాన్ని అమలు చేయబోతున్నట్లు ప్రకటించారు.
