इस बार 13 अप्रैल से मां दुर्गा की विशेष आराधना का पर्व चैत्र नवरात्रि शुरुआत हो रही है. भारतीय परंपरा में चैत्र नवरात्रि का विशेष महत्व है. नवरात्रि के नौ दिनों में मां के नौ रूपों की पूजा- अर्चना की जाती है. धार्मिक मान्यताओं के अनुसार नवरात्रि के नौ दिनों में व्रत रखने का बहुत अधिक महत्व होता है. इन नौ दिनों में व्रत रखने से मां की विशेष कृपा प्राप्त होती है. इसके लिए विशेष तरह की पूजन विधि है. नवरात्रि के पहले दिन मां दुर्गा के शैलपुत्री स्वरूप की पूजा अर्चना की जाती है. नवरात्रि में प्रतिपदा के दिन प्रातः जौ-बोने , कलश स्थापना और दिया प्रज्वलित करने के साथ मां नव दुर्गा की पूजा का शुभारम्भ होता है. इस बार चैत्र नवरात्रि में मां दुर्गा घोड़े पर सवार होकर आएंगी.
