On September 15, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Sansad TV along with Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. Sansad TV has been created by merging Lok Sabha TV and Rajya Sabha TV. PM Modi said it is very important that the common man connects with Parliament and feels he is part of it. The new channel, Sansad TV, adds another significant chapter in the country's parliamentary system, the prime minister said. PM Modi, while noting that the launch coincides with International Day of Democracy, reiterated that India is mother of democracy. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also greeted Doordarshan on completing 62 years of existence. Watch the video to know more.
