India won the toss & elected to bowl against England in Manchester to kickstart their tour. Virat Kohli accessed the pitch conditions & many felt that it was more in favour of India than England. Jos Butler & Jason Roy got England to a scintillating start. They were more than 50 runs in just 5 overs. But in walked in Kuldeep Yadav & England struggled for answers. Butler did continue his form but Yadav’s 5-wicket haul made England set up a target of 160 for India. Shikhar Dhawan was dismissed in the 1st over but a decent partnership between Rohit Sharma & KL Rahul steadied India’s ship. Rahul’s sublime innings with the bat made India cruise to the target giving England plenty of problem to deal with going into the 2nd T20I.
