Saurashtra, Kutch, coastal Karnataka, the Konkan region, and Goa have witnessed heavy rainfall at isolated places in the last 24 hours. Monsoon rainfall over central India and along the west coast is likely to continue in the next five days. IMD issued a red alert on Friday for Mumbai and predicted heavy rains in Punjab, Haryana, the ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra, and other states.
