Spain’s King Felipe and Queen Letizia welcomed Oman’s Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq Al-Said at the Royal Palace in Madrid with full military honours, marking the start of the Sultan’s three-day official visit to Spain.

Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez and other top Spanish authorities also attended the ceremony, which included troop reviews, military music, and a display of national flags.

Later, King Felipe and Sultan Haitham will co-chair a business meeting organized by Spain’s Economy Minister, aimed at strengthening bilateral ties between Spain and Oman.
