With the Assembly elections approaching, Kerala had expected a flood of major announcements from the Centre. Instead, what it received was a fund for sea turtle conservation. At a time when several key demands — including Vizhinjam port, AIIMS, and the semi high-speed rail project, remain unaddressed, both ruling and opposition parties in Kerala have taken to social media with trolls, mocking the Centre over the 'turtle egg' announcement.
