బాలాకోట్.. సరిహద్దులకు అవతల పాకిస్తాన్ భూభాగంపై ఉన్న ఓ చిన్న పట్టణం. జమ్మూ కాశ్మీర్ సరిహద్దులకు ఆనుకుని ఉండే ఈ బాలాకోట్ పేరు మనదేశంలో కొన్ని నెలల పాటు మారుమోగిపోయింది. రాజకీయంగా కొన్ని కీలక పరిణామాలకు కేరాఫ్‌గా నిలిచింది. జమ్మూ కాశ్మీర్‌లోని పుల్వామా జిల్లాలో సీఆర్పీఎఫ్ కాన్వాయ్‌పై జైషె మహ్మద్ ఉగ్రవాదుల దాడికి ప్రతీకారంగా భారత వైమానిక దళం చేపట్టిన రెండో సర్జికల్ స్ట్రైక్స్‌కు బుధవారం నాటితో ఏడాది పూర్తయింది.
