Indian wrestlers Bajrang Punia and Ravi Dahiya suffered heartbreaking defeats in World Wrestling Championships 2019 semi-finals in 65kg and 57kg freestyle categories respectively. Bajrang lost to Daulet Niyazbekov of Kazakhstan 9-9 on criteria after storming back from a 2-7 deficit on Thursday. Ravi Kumar lost to world champion Zaur Uguev 4-6 in the 57kg freestyle event semi-finals. Bajrang and Ravi will now battle for bronze medals in Nur-Sultan. Both Bajrang and Ravi Kumar sealed Tokyo Olympic berths for India in their respective categories by comfortably winning their quarter-final bouts.
