BCCI vice-president Rajiv Shukla has said that the absence of overseas players will not hinder the resumption of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. The IPL was postponed on May 4 after several players and support staff members across teams tested positive for COVID-19. BCCI announced on Saturday that the league will resume in the UAE and the remaining matches will be played in the months of September and October.

IPL 2021 तो होने जा रहा है. बचे हुए मुकाबले खेले जाएंगे. शारजाह, दुबई और आबुधाबी में मुकाबले खेले जाएंगे. लेकिन, एक चिंता जो फैन्स को सता रही है, वो है विदेशी खिलाड़ियों के न आने की. खबर तो कुछ ऐसा ही है कि विदेशी खिलाड़ी IPL 2021 के दूसरे हाफ में उपलब्ध नहीं होंगे. England Cricket Board ने तो साफ़ तौर पर कह दिया है कि खिलाड़ियों को आराम दिए जाएंगे. पर इसका मतलब ये नहीं कि आप जाकर IPL 2021 खेलने लगें. उधर, Australia का बिजी शेड्यूल है. समर सीजन शुरू होने जा रहा है. विंडीज दौरे पर जाएंगे. और फिर 2021 T20I World Cup की तैयारी करना है. जबकि एशेज भी दिसम्बर में खेले जाएँगे.
