प्रदोष व्रत के दिन भगवान शिव के साथ माता पार्वती की भी पूजा की जाती है। त्रयोदशी तिथि का व्रत सायंकाल के समय किया जाता है इसलिए इसे प्रदोष व्रत कहा जाता है।

Goddess Parvati is also worshiped along with Lord Shiva on the day of Pradosh Vrat. The fast of Trayodashi Tithi is observed in the evening, hence it is called Pradosh Vrat.
